- Independent study only
- Successful completion of final exam and skills testing are required to receive NYS HHA certificate.
- Out of state HHAs seeking a NYS HHA certificate must present their HHA certificate, HHA program transcript, and skills evaluation forms
- Nursing students that have completed the first two modules of a nursing program’s curriculum must present a transcript and skills documentation from their skills lab or nursing instructor.

Get all the classroom education and clinical skills training you need. This program will provide the education and hands-on training you need to qualify for your Home Health Aide Certificate from Sophie’s Healthcare Services.
- Hours are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
- Daily attendance & punctuality are required
- Homework will take 1-2 hours each day
To successfully complete the program, you must score 80% or higher on all exams and the final written test, in addition to passing required health related tasks. Eligibility Requirements: All requirements for program eligibility must be met prior to intended program start date.

- Homework will take 1-2 hours each day
- Applicant must be 18 or older
- Must successfully pass an adult Basic learning exam
- Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
- Must produce proof of ability to work in the United States
- Must present a current physical exam, PPD, or a chest x-ray within 2 years.
- Must provide I.D and original Social Security Card
- Must demonstrate emotional maturity and mental ability
- Must have a sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick
- Must exhibit ability to deal effectively with the demands of the program
- Physical demands: ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted (over 40 pounds with a lifting device or other assistance)
Program fee only $100. Fee covers all materials, uniform, textbook, and HHA skills kit.
